Nowadays, everybody is talking about health or a healthy lifestyle.

But what does a healthy lifestyle look like for you?

There is so much out there on the internet about health and lifestyle.

So many habits are called good or bad for one reason or another.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed by so much information.

When I feel that way, I like to make it smaller. To step outside the circle and return to the present moment. From there, I ask myself what a healthy lifestyle means for me right now. I reflect on my values and what feels true for my life.

What works for me may not work for you.

Health and lifestyle are deeply personal.

For me it can look like:

  • Eating well, and being able to cook, buy, and enjoy the food I make or that others prepare for me

  • Caring for myself in simple ways

  • Finding purpose in what I do, and sharing it with the world

  • Worrying, but also being able to see and feel solutions

  • Loving, while being able to be loved

  • Giving, while allowing myself to receive

And the list could go on. A healthy lifestyle includes habits that nurture you in all aspects of life.

We can feel more free in our mind when we live in the present moment. From there, we can set up our day in a way that feels real and open to explore, with honesty and realism. Small steps can guide us towards habits that feel natural to us, rather than forced. Habits that reflect who we really are.

Being mindful and open to your own health gives you valuable information that only you can sense. You can notice it, see it, and slowly change it in a way that feels possible right now.

One practice I often suggest is a daily body scan. This helps to build awareness and honesty with yourself, while keeping it realistic. From there, small steps towards small habits begin to grow.

Things to bring awareness to:

  • Breathing – Where do you notice your breath? Does it feel different in the morning, afternoon, or evening?

  • Digestion – What do you notice about your stool today? Color, smell, form, quantity? It can give a lot of information about your digestive system.

  • Smell – What scents caught your attention today? Flowers, people, food, or even pollution? Just noticing.

  • Hunger – When did you feel hungry? In the morning? Late afternoon? What triggered it? How does your hunger “talk” to you?

  • Thirst – Do you feel like drinking something cold or warm? Sweet, sour, bitter? Just observing can already be interesting.

  • Emotions – How do you feel today?

  • Views – What catches your eyes? Do you look at the sky, the ground, or people’s faces? Do you notice smiles or frowns?

  • Words – What kind of words came out of your mouth today? Kindness, anger, sadness? Again, not judgment, just awareness.

From there, take a moment to let it all sink in. You can simply be mindful or write it down in a journal.

This can become a beautiful journey nurturing your own vision of a healthy lifestyle.

One that feels right for your body, mind, and spirit. A lifestyle that grows with you day by day.

As a health coach, I can guide you on this path of awareness. Through coaching, I ask the right questions, reflect your words back to you, listen deeply, and hold space while you discover your own way forward. Sometimes, this is the first healthy step toward the change you want to make.

Feel free to book a call with me to discuss the possibility.
